Services

Our mission is to provide stable, secure and nurturing family environments for the very special needs of the abused and neglected, emotionally disturbed, developmentally-delayed, mentally challenged, and primary medical needs children placed in our care. Ultimately our kids will gain the skills, knowledge and self-confidence to build healthy relationships, productive lives, and maximize their potential.

CFN covers a wide geographic scope with branch offices in Killeen and Kerrville. Our 150+ families reside in metropolitan, urban, and rural communities that offer a variety of school, activities, and community settings. CFN has over a 15 year history of providing quality child-placing, and foster care services in the state of Texas. CFN is a recognized leader in our field across the state and has a national reputation for providing quality care to youth and families. For the past 5 years CFN has led all child-placing agencies in Texas in outcomes of children in care.

CFN provides basic foster care; treatment foster care for special needs children and youth who need more therapeutic services; services to habiliative/MR children; and services to primary medical needs (PMN) children by experienced families who have the medical backgrounds to meet their medical needs. Since 2006 CFN has been providing foster/adopt and adoption services for families interested in adoption. Our adoption program has grown rapidly and adoptions have far exceeded projections.

We have over 150 Licensed Foster/Adoptive Homes. We continue to grow and serve over 800 children and youth each year. We pride ourselves in retaining foster and adoptive families through training, support, professional services, and the partnerships we build with families. CFN is a recognized leader for its training provided to parents. CFN staff facilitates trainings locally, state-wide and nationally. We provide stable, experienced, and quality staff to the families and youth we serve.
